Walnut

Walnut trees are large deciduous trees with rounded canopies of green, lush foliage. These trees are in the plant genus Juglans, and they are famous for their delicious nuts and beautiful wood. The female flowers are followed by the edible nuts in fall, which are encased in a light green covering. The covering rots away when the fruit drop, leaving the hard shells protecting the nuts.  Walnut trees grow to between 33 and 131 ft. tall with a massive spread up to 50 ft. Black Walnut trees grow to a height of 75-100 feet with a spread of 75-100 feet.
