Birch
Birch are fast growing, graceful, and medium-sized deciduous trees. They are usually prized for their eye-catching bark that ranges from a reddish brown, exfoliating bark, to a white bark that is smooth. The leaves are dark green with serrated edges and are leathery in texture. Many birch trees turn to a bright yellow shade in the fall depending on species. The male flowers are brown catkins, and the female flowers are smaller and green.
